Blog Entry #8 - Future Intentions

Hello RW3!

With only 3 weeks of the program remaining, I thought this blog post could feature some information about your plans for the future!

What are you going to do when the semester finishes?

How?

Write a paragraph (or two) telling your readers about your plans for the next chapter :)

I will be going on a short vacation after the semester.  I am going to celebrate my birthday over the vacation and try to do some camping!  The summer program starts at the beginning of August, and I will be teaching in that program for 5 weeks.  I am really looking forward to it!  As well, Genki and I will be moving into a bigger and better place mid-August!  Genki is really excited!

Blog Entry #7 - Equality?

Hello RW 3 friends! 

This week I would like for you to think about and compare the equality of men and women in your home culture.  Are men and women completely equal???  State how they are equal and how they are unequal.  Do you think that women and men should be completely equal in your home country?  Do you think they will ever be equals?   

Blog Entry #6 - Gender Differences

Hello RW 3!

Our current unit discusses differences in gender, specifically gender differences in language.  Can you think more generally about the ways that boys and girls are treated as they grow up?  How are they treated the same?  How are they treated differently?  Write about (compare and contrast) the ways that boys and girls are treated in your home culture.


Give specific examples and details. :)

Blog Entry #5 - Who Inspired You?

Hello RW3D!

Welcome to week 7!  Make sure that you are keeping up with your blog entrires, AND commenting on other people's blogs.  If someone makes a comment or asks a quetion on your blog, it is polite to respond to that comment!

This week, I want you to write about somebody that made a difference in your life.  It could be a famous athelte, a family member, a friend, a teacher, anybody that made an impact and changed your life.  Answer the 5 basic questions - called the 5Ws about that person and how they changed your life.

By the way, today is National Hug Your Cat Day!  So make sure you get out there and hug some cats :)
